Nith Valley Alpacas nestles within the private grounds of Capenoch estate in Dumfries and Galloway, Southwest Scotland.
Sitting at the base of the Keir Hills we have stunning views of the Lowther Hills to the North East and if you trek to the top of our hill you can see for miles and miles
The area is steeped in history boasting not only Kirkpatrick Macmillan,Inventor of the bicycle, who was born, lived and was buried here at Keir Mill but also the explorer Joseph Thomson (Thomson’s Gazelle)
Drumlanrig Country Estate is close by as is the pretty village of Thornhill with small independent shops and cafes.
We “Walk with a difference” to make a difference and we do this by sharing an incite into the joyous lives of Alpacas. Their comical behaviour never fails to put a smile on faces, Alpacas are good for the soul creating a general sense of well being.
Alpacas are naturally curious and we encourage everyone to engage with their trekking buddy. Adults and Children alike can’t help but fall in love with our Alpacas. So why not come and join us alpaca trekking in the Scottish countryside
Learn all things alpaca in the company of our Trekking team. You will be introduced to your alpaca and shown a little alpaca etiquette before we head off on one of our many trek routes.
